In October 2026, Project Children, in partnership with Monaghan County Council, returns to Co. Monaghan for the official launch of the Project Children Book, marking more than five decades of peace, community, and childhood resilience. Guests are invited to join Denis Mulcahy and the wider Project Children family, including former participants, host families, volunteers, supporters, and friends, to reflect on the journey of a program that changed lives on both sides of the Atlantic.
The book, authored by Jane Buckley, captures the lived experiences and extremely personal stories at the heart of Project Children, told through the voices of those who helped shape its legacy. Together, these stories reflect the spirit of compassion, connection, and possibility that has defined Project Children from the beginning, preserving this shared history for generations to come.
We warmly invite you to join us in Co. Monaghan as we come together to celebrate this remarkable journey, honor the history of the last 50 years, and share in a moment of reflection, gratitude, and hope.
